Jacob Caine studied at the Victorian College of the Arts. Since leaving college he has appeared in principal and featured roles, as a chorister, and soloist for Opera Australia, OzOpera, Melbourne Opera and Victorian Opera. Roles include: Don Jose (Carmen), Tamino (Die Zauberfote), Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Remendado (Carmen), Lodger (Metamorphosis) Sid (Sid the Serpent) Gastone (La Traviata), Borsa (Rigoletto) Secondo Soldato (Poppea).

Other operas: Love for Three Oranges, Die Fliegende Hollander, Le Nozze di Figaro, Turandot, Il Trovatore, HMS Pinafore, The Gondoliers, The Pirates of Penzance, Un Ballo in Maschera, Les Pecheurs de Perles., Otello.

In 2009, Jacob will perform the roles of Alfredo (La Traviata), and Scaramuccio (Ariadne auf Naxos). Jacob is currently a Developing Artists with Victorian Opera.
