Born in China, came to Australia first time in 2003, Yang Liu began his technical vocal studies when he was 16. In 2001 he successfully completed his advanced diploma of Music Performance, Voice, at the Nanjing Arts institute, China, and he was studying at Victorian College of the Arts for last few years, under the tutelage of Brian Hansford, Steven Grant and Anna Connolly. Yang is holding Bachelor degree of music performance (2nd class Honours).  Amongst his roles are Melbourne Opera’s La Boheme as Marcello, The Count in Melbourne Opera’s Marriage of Figaro.
