
Set & Costume Designer
Christina graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Monash University majoring in Music. Christina then studied a Diploma of Design in Visual Merchandising at RMIT, and has recently completed a Post-Graduate in Theatre Design at the VCA. At the VCA, Christina designed the sets and costumes for Night School by Harold Pinter, directed by Richard Murphet; Between Today and Tomorrow by Daniel Keene; costume design for White with Wire Wheels by Jack Hibbard for Melbourne Union Theatre, directed by Susie Dee; and costume design for Living Things (puppetry) created by Peter Wilson.
More recently Christina designed the set and costumes for Magnormos Music theatre company, Flower Children, The Hatpin, Life's a Circus, A Sondheim Triptych and Jerry Herman Triptych at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Set and costumes for White Whale Theatre, Melburnalia II and Macbeth Re-arisen (nominated for best Independent Production at the Green Room awards); designed costumes for the Bow Wow Festival for Family Dog Circus; set and costumes for As you Like it and Some Kind of Alaska for Winterfall Theatre; was head of the art department for a short film Red Water Red; designed costumes for Disjointed Story and Lois and her Mother? Secret Life with Cast and Crew Productions; set and costume design for Rio Saki and Falling Debris for Panassis Den, and set and costume for War Lounge for Bettybooke at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2008.
