Scott Allan

After training with the Young People’s Theatre, Scott spent eight years as Resident Lighting Designer for the company, lighting pantomime and productions in repertory. Scott is a professional member of the Association of Lighting Designer’s (ALD), Treasurer of the Australasian Lighting Industry Association (ALIA) and has twice attended the Broadway Lighting Design master class series at New York University.  Scott worked on the national tours of I’m Not a Dentist and Late Nite Catechism prior to six years as Resident Lighting Designer to the Gold Coast Arts Centre and five years as the Technical Manager for the Arts Faculty at Deakin University. Other work includes: The Oldest Profession (Ensemble Theatre), Europe, A Stretch of the Imagination (La Mama), Damn Yankees, Crazy for You (The Production Company), Men (Straight Jacket Production), Trio (Larkin Ensemble), Oliver!, Abelard & Heloise (Opera Hunter), Godspell, Jekyll & Hyde, The Boy from OZ, Sweeney Todd (GCAC), La Boheme, The Marriage of Figaro, La Traviata, I Puritani, Tosca (Melbourne Opera), The Maids, Bent, Diary of a Madman (Hunter Valley Theatre Company); and currently touring in the corporate world, Lectern Rock for the Westpac.    sallanld.com
